How to tell it is really us.

Scammers copy the names of organisations that people trust. These are the only ways AfricaHackon takes money or contacts you about money.

  1. 01

We only take payment through the channels listed on this website: the donation form on the Donate page, which is processed by Paystack, the M-Pesa Paybill and the bank account listed there.

  2. 02

We never ask you to pay a personal M-Pesa number, and we never ask for money over WhatsApp or direct message.

  3. 03

Academy applicants pay tuition only after a written offer from an @africahackon.com address, and only to the channels above.

  4. 04

We never ask for your M-Pesa PIN, card details or passwords.

If someone asks you for money in our name and it does not match this list, do not pay. Forward what you received to info@africahackon.com.

Report a concern

Speak up. We will listen.

Misconduct, misuse of skills, harassment, the safety of a Titan, or misuse of funds. Tell us in writing or by phone. Ask us to keep your name confidential and we will, and you will not face retaliation for raising a concern in good faith.

Every report is acknowledged within three working days and reviewed by two people who are not the subject of the concern.
